Sandhills Children Center Backyard Bocce Bash

. Backyard Bocce Bash - to benefit the Sandhills Children's Center. Saturday, August 16th at the Campbell House in Southern Pines. Throwing balls toward a target is the oldest game known to mankind. As early as 5000 B.C. the Egyptians played a form of Bocce with polished rocks. Even if you have never played, you can become a champion in one tournament. Teams are made up of four people (men and/or women) who enjoy outdoor sports and can throw a two pound two ounce ball. All donations are tx deductible and provide much needed therapies for children.
