- August 31. The 67th Annual Moore County Men's Amateur Golf Championship. To be held at the Southern Pines Golf Course. Three divisions: Open (16 and up); Senior (55 and older); and Super Senior (65 and older). The tourney is open to all amateurs. Proceeds benefit the First Tee of the Sandhills Program.
